01) Deluxe King Suite; 2nd Floor
Room 1. Enjoy complimentary bottled water and snacks in this, the largest room on our property. This Deluxe King suite, located on the second floor, includes a sitting room and king bedroom outfitted with a new luxury mattress, pillows and bedding. A microwave, small fridge, and coffee maker complete the refreshment area. The sitting room, with a daybed and trundle, allow a four person occupancy (possibly more, if your family includes small children). Each area has a television and a privacy door to close between the rooms. A spacious bathroom with an antique claw foot tub/shower, completes this deluxe room. The windows are primarily to the east with a town and hillside view.

03) Petite Queen; 2nd Floor
Room 3. This second floor, corner room, features three windows for town and hillside views. A brushed steel bed frame, colorful artwork, in room pedestal sink and en-suite shower, complete this cozy, petite queen. Note: this room faces 3rd St (hill) so you may hear road traffic.

Room 4. This spacious, second floor corner room features four windows (south and west) with views of Cripple Creek and the Sangre de Cristo mountains. The en-suite bath has a tub/shower combination. A chaise lounge chair, a four poster bed with new luxury mattress, pillows and bedding, along with a warm color palette, invite you to relax and savor your stay. A desk and chair are included for those with work to be done. Complimentary bottled water and snacks for your enjoyment. This room features a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Suggested occupancy is two, roll away twin bed is available if needed.

05) Classic Queen Room; 2nd Floor
Room 5. This second floor, queen room is south facing, overlooking the rooftops of downtown to the forested mountains beyond. Warm, cozy and bright with a scrolled Victorianesque headboard. A re-purposed baker's rack houses the television and provides for additional storage. The en-suite bath has a tub/shower combination.

06) ADA Accessible King Room; 2nd Floor
Room 6. A handicapped accessible classic king room. The bath has a standard shower but an additional sit down, handicapped shower is also included. The room is located on our second floor, four steps up within the building, from the parking lot entry. There is a lift chair available to circumvent the stair climb if needed. A desk and chair are provided for those who have work to attend to. Note: this room is above The Boiler Room Tavern which is open until midnight part of the week, some noise is to be expected during business hours.

Room 7. Located on the second floor with a south facing exposure, this king features a new luxury mattress, deluxe pillows and bedding. The views are over the town rooftops and include the distant Sangre DeCristo range and the pine covered hills towards Victor. With morning coffee, or perhaps, afternoon wine, you can savor these views from your enclosed sun porch, which includes a desk and chair for those who must work. The en suite bath includes pedestal sink, shower, a glass and chrome etagere and warm natural light from an over sized window. Complimentary bottled water and snacks provided. Room 9. This southwest corner room is located on the second floor. Four large windows define this room, providing expansive town and hillside views. Brightly sprigged wallpaper, scrolled headboard, small desk and pedestal sink make up the bedroom. The en suite bathroom contains shower and toilet. A cozy corner queen room.

11) Classic Double Room; 2nd Floor
Room 11. For friends or family not willing to share a bed, this room will meet with your approval with two queen sized beds. Located in the north/west corner on the second floor. Window views primarily face the western hillsides. Originally, as Sister's hospital (the local reference to the St. Nicholas Hospital at the turn of the century) this was the surgery room. The double opening doors allowed gurneys to pass through. If spirits are of interest, this room has had more comments from guests, than any other.

Room 15. Centrally located on the third floor with south facing windows overlooking the downtown district and the rolling hills beyond. This queen guest room provides a taste of European inns and is easy on the travel budget also. It has a sink and mirror located in the room and a full private bath across the hall. Room 18. This king room is situated on the northwest corner of the third floor. The view looks to the residential, west side of town, Mt. Pisgah and beyond. Rosebud sprigged wallpaper against a dark background lends this room a stately air. The en suite bath contains a tub/shower combination, pedestal sink and large window. Hotel Services and Amenities

Room rates include a continental breakfast, served in the breakfast room, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

All rooms include a private bath and satellite TV. A billiards table is available in the event room, and spirits and conversation in The Boiler Room Tavern. Other amenities include free wireless internet and copier access.

Our knowledgeable staff is very happy to provide recommendations or help with planning your leisure activities in our historic, gold rush district.

We are pet friendly in Rooms 12 - 18 (3rd floor only) for a $50 pet fee for one night stay for up to two animals (if you have a multi-day stay the pet fee is $75 instead). Please call us to confirm whether or not you have booked an appropriate room for you and your fur baby. Please remember that pets cannot be left alone in your room and are not allowed in any public areas. You will be liable for any damages. You will also be required to sign a pet agreement upon check in.

Children, five and over, are considered guests and counted in the maximum room capacity. Children under the age of four, that share a bed with parents, will not be counted in the maximum room capacity.

Charge for each extra person (five and over) in the room is $25 per person per night.


Deposit / Cancellation Policy

A credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) is required to hold your reservation. Your card will not be charged until you arrive. However, cancellations received within 48 hours (2 days) of your arrival, will be charged a $50 handling fee. Reservations cancelled on the day of arrival, will be charged for the first night's stay. Please note, group and holiday reservations, may require up to a fourteen (14) day cancellation notice.


Other Information

The hotels elevation is approx. 9,500 feet. Please be aware of the impacts of elevation on the body: breathlessness, headache, upset stomach, sleep issues and fatigue are common side effects of high altitude. At high altitude, there's less oxygen in the air, and this can affect your body.

The Hotel St. Nicholas is over 125 years old and with that has the idoscrancies of historic buildings: some squeaking of floors, some areas are warmer and colder depending on the time of year (we provide fans/heaters as needed), delicate windows and a wonderful history we would love to share with you during your stay.

Ample free parking is available, parking lot and street parking.

Town and casino operated shuttles are available to whisk you to our local attractions. The city shuttle charge is $1.00 per person and casino shuttles are free (please tip the driver).

Consumption of personal alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the common areas, in room only, please!


NO SMOKING POLICY

The Hotel St. Nicholas is a non-smoking facility. Smoking of any kind including vaping, tobacco, and marijuana, is NOT permitted in the rooms or the common areas inside. Smoking is permitted outdoors in designated areas (patio on Eaton Ave). Any smoking inside will result in a minimum of $250 charge to cover extensive cleaning of the room, which includes labor and cleaning of walls, window coverings, all bedding, and soft surfaces such as chairs and pillows. For the sake of staff and your fellow guests, please refrain from smoking inside the inn.

GREEN POLICY

The Hotel St. Nicholas supports conservation through our Green Program. Program elements include energy conservation, minimizing disposable tableware, use of cotton-based linens, and limited housekeeping during guest stays. In order to save water and resources, we will not automatically replenish towels and linens, but will do so if asked.

CHILDREN & PETS
Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Pets are welcome. Pets must weigh under 100 pounds. Pet fee is $50 per pet per night separate from the reservation. Pet friendly floor is the third floor. Pet agreement must be signed upon check in - Pets cannot be left in rooms unattended. Guest is liable for any damages.
